Can A Different Size Bar And Chain Be Installed On M18 FUEL™ 16" Chainsaw?
A:
We recommend this saw be used with either a 14" or 16" bar and chain for an optimized user experience. 14” guide bar (48-09-3001) and 14” chain (49-16-2715) are available as accessories. 2727 is also sold in the 14" configuration (2727- 20C/21C).

What Oil Do I Need For The M18 FUEL™ 16" Chainsaw?

All M18 FUEL™ Chainsaws use any standard bar and chain oil.
Q:
How Do I Adjust The Oil Flow?
A:
All the M18 FUEL™ Chainsaws have an automatic chain oiling system set at the optimized flow rate. They do not have an oil flow rate adjustment feature.

Can I Use Any Size Battery With The M18 FUEL™16" Chainsaw?
A:
The M18 FUEL™ 16" chainsaw is compatible with all M18™ batteries. For optimal performance and longer runtime, we recommend using the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ or FORGE™ XC8.0 and HD12.0 batteries, which deliver best balance of power and runtime for demanding applications.

What Size Round File Do I Need To Sharpen The Chain?
A:
The M18 FUEL™ 16" chainsaw uses a 11/64" (4.5 mm) diameter round file and holder. Specific information on how to sharpen the chain can be found in the operator's manual. Improper chain sharpening increases the potential of kickback. Our 11/64” Round File for Saw Chain 6 PK (49-16-2885) is sold separately as an accessory.
