What is the difference between CP, XC and HD?
A:
"CP" batteries are most compact, for use in applications that require the lightest weight and smallest size ergonomically. "XC" batteries provide a balance of size/weight, power, and runtime. With the largest overall size, "HD" batteries provide high power and longest runtime for long duration and high demand applications.

Charge experience will be dependent on the battery pack type, charger type, and surrounding environment conditions. M18™ Super Charger provides the fastest charging experience with all M18™ batteries. Based on testing conducted by Milwaukee Tool at room temperature using M18™ Super Charger, M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ XC6.0 battery fully charges in 25 mins (15 mins to 80% capacity), M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ HD12.0 battery fully charges in 60 mins, M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ XC8.0 charges in 45 mins, and M18™ REDLITHIUM™ XC5.0 charges in 60 mins.
