Yes, the M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw are compatible with both 14" and 16" bars and chains. For best performance, we recommend sticking with these sizes. You can upgrade or swap to the 14” guide bar (part number 48-16-2756) and 14” chain (49-16-2749), both available as accessories. The 2727 model is also sold in a 14" configuration (2727-20C/21C) for added flexibility.

What Size Round File Do I Need To Sharpen The Chain On The M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw?

The M18 FUEL™ 14" and 16" Chainsaw use an 11/64" (4.5 mm) round file and holder for sharpening. For detailed instructions, refer to the operator’s manual. Improper sharpening can increase the risk of kickback. Our 11/64” Round File for Saw Chain 6 PK (49-16-2885) is available as a separate accessory.
